Job summary

Fundació Hospital Universitari Vall d’Hebron Institut de Recerca (VHIR) seeks a recognised postdoctoral researcher with a PhD and at least three years of postdoctoral experience to lead high‑quality research on gut–brain interaction disorders, including IBS and related conditions.

You will publish in top-tier journals, pursue competitive funding as PI or Co‑PI, and mentor junior researchers while contributing to translational aims and IP activities.

Qualifications

• Completed PhD in a relevant field.
• English level C1 per CEFR is required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct high‑quality research aligned with project objectives and publish in peer‑reviewed journals.
• Design and execute protocols, collaborate with senior researchers, and contribute to grants.
• Present findings at team meetings and scientific conferences.
• Mentor and supervise undergraduate and master students; support research training.
• Collaborate with technology transfer to identify IP opportunities and support commercialization.
• Maintain accurate research records and manage experimental data following FAIR principles.
• Stay updated with methodologies and trends in GI research.
