A research institution in Spain is seeking a postdoctoral researcher to work on time domain astrophysics related to the GOTO project. The role involves conducting research on gravitational waves and coordinating observations with various projects. Candidates with experience in astrophysics and software development are preferred. Formación

• PhD in astrophysics or a related discipline, typically required.
• Experience in software development for astronomical data analysis is beneficial.
• Prior research involvement in time domain astrophysics or multi-messenger astronomy is a plus.

Responsabilidades

• Conduct research in multi-messenger follow-up and GOTO photometric database exploitation.
• Liaise with IAC researchers on non-GW database queries and access issues.
• Coordinate observations of GOTO with other related IAC projects.
• Engage in operational software development tasks for GOTO and Warwick facilities.
