The Power Systems Group at IREC is seeking a PostDoc Researcher for a 14-month project under HORIZON EUROPE. The role focuses on power electronics, involving design and implementation of advanced converters and experimental setups in a lab environment.

Formación

  • PhD or Master with more than 4 years in Power Electronics.
  • Hands-on experience with power electronics is essential.
  • Experience in designing, modeling, and operating power electronic converters.

Responsabilidades

The Power Systems Group announces the opening of a position as PostDoc Researcher to work on the SCAPE project funded under the HORIZON EUROPE programme, as well as on similar technical research projects in the fields of Power Electronics. The tasks will focus on designing advanced power converter topologies and control schemes, along with developing advanced electro-thermal models for implementing power converter digital twins. Additionally, experimental activities with power converters are expected, including designing and implementing experimental setups within IREC’s lab facilities.

Qualifications and experience required :

  • PhD in Electronic Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications Engineering, Automatic Control, or similar, or a Master (or equivalent) in the same disciplines with more than 4 years of research experience in Power Electronics.
  • Experience in designing, modeling, and operating power electronic converters.
  • Experience with control board design and programming.
  • Experience in analog and digital electronic systems design, simulation, and testing.
  • Hands-on experience with power electronics is essential.

Preferred :

  • Knowledge of multilevel power converter topologies and operation.
  • Experience in communications and automation systems.
  • Experience supervising, guiding, and training team members.
  • Experience in preparing competitive project proposals.
  • Experience publishing papers in technical journals and conferences.
  • Personal skills :
