A leading research institute is looking for a PostDoc Researcher to work on the SCAPE project funded by HORIZON EUROPE. The role involves designing power converter topologies, developing models for digital twins, and hands-on experiments in the lab. Formación

• PhD or Master's with extensive research experience in Power Electronics.

Descripción del empleo

The Power Systems Group announces the opening of a position as PostDoc Researcher to work on the SCAPE project funded under the HORIZON EUROPE programme, as well as on similar technical research projects in the fields of Power Electronics.

The tasks will focus on designing advanced power converter topologies and control schemes, and developing advanced electro-thermal models for power converter digital twins. Additionally, experimental activities with power converters are expected, including designing and implementing experimental setups within IREC’s lab facilities.

Qualifications and Experience Required:

• PhD in Electronic Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications Engineering, Automatic Control, or similar, or a Master’s (or equivalent) with more than 4 years of research experience in Power Electronics.
• Experience in design, modelling, and operation of power electronics converters.
• Experience with control board design and programming.
• Experience in analog and digital electronic systems design, simulation, and testing.
• Hands-on experience with power electronics is essential.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Knowledge of multilevel power converter topologies and operation.
• Experience with communications and automation systems.
• Experience supervising, guiding, or training personnel.
• Experience in preparing competitive project proposals.
• Experience writing papers for technical journals and conferences.
