Base pay range

150,000.00 / yr - $200,000.00 / yr

Role Overview

We seek a Portfolio Strategy & Capital Markets Lead to manage exit readiness, investor relations, and capital strategy within our strategic portfolio. Ideal candidates include former investment bankers, PE associates, or capital markets strategists transitioning into operational roles that are strategic and embedded in next-gen tech companies. The role involves working with founders, finance teams, and investment banks to shape narratives, support transactions, and prepare companies for institutional capital events such as IPOs, SPACs, M&A, and strategic partnerships.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop exit and liquidity strategies
  • Lead IPO, SPAC, and M&A preparation workstreams (data room, KPI design, board materials, investor Q&A)
  • Coordinate with external advisors (investment banks, legal, auditors) for transaction readiness
  • Create scenario models and strategic decks on exit timing, valuation, and market positioning
  • Analyze macro, crypto, and equities markets to advise on timing and structuring of liquidity events
  • Benchmark comparable public companies, deals, token listings, and transactions
  • Provide updates on regulatory, market sentiment, and access trends relevant to exits
  • Shape investor narratives and communication materials
  • Assist founders in preparing for roadshows, diligence, and earnings communications
  • Evaluate fund-wide capital markets strategies, including secondary liquidity and NAV-based structures
  • Support strategic partnerships and joint ventures with capital providers or buyers
  • Monitor post-exit performance to refine exit strategies

Preferred Experience

  • 3-6 years in investment banking, capital markets advisory, equity research, or late-stage VC/PE
  • Experience with IPO, SPAC, M&A, or investor engagement processes
  • Strong financial skills in valuation, cap table modeling, and transaction structuring
  • Ability to craft investor materials and advise on narratives
  • (Optional) Crypto familiarity or willingness to learn
  • Executive presence to engage with founders, boards, and bankers
