Formación

Join our Terminal Services Team as an Agent. Intercruises is currently recruiting people that are passionate about tourism and customer service to work during the 2025 season. As a Terminal Services Agent you will be responsible for the smooth running of Intercruises passenger services operations at the port of Palma to ensure excellent service for our cruise line clients and their passengers. Intercruises is a TUI owned specialist business providing cruise ship handling services to cruise lines in destinations throughout the world.

ABOUT THE JOB

  • Organize the flow of the passengers inside the port.
  • Meet & greet the incoming passengers: assist them with their luggage, give them directions and information on the location of the different services, etc.
  • Assist the debarking passengers: give directions to ensure they get to their destination (tour buses, shuttle, public bus, taxis area, etc.); assist them to find their luggage; etc.
  • Give directions and any relevant information to the passengers, related to the handling of their luggage, the check-in, the location of the transfer services, the location of any available public services or general touristic information.
  • When we provide security services, ensure that no passengers access the pier through the only-exit doors and assist with the security controls when needed.
  • Ensure that no passengers walk through or enter any restricted or potentially dangerous areas.
  • Report the pier supervisor any incident related to port facilities that poses a challenge to the smooth flow of the operations or that may be considered a hazard for the passengers or Intercruises workers health.
  • Set up the terminal, which involves carrying and moving heavy equipment (stanchions), and gather up all the equipment at the end of the call.
  • Accompany disabled passengers from the means of transport to the ship or vice-versa (requires a specific training).

ABOUT YOU

  • Basic level of English; a good level of English or German will be advantageous.
  • Able to work in a flexible manner (including different work shifts) depending on cruise ship schedules and excellent disposition to deal with last-minute changes.
  • Responsible and punctual.
  • Previous experience in tourism and/or customer service is highly valued.
  • Highly customer focused, helpful and with excellent personal manners and communication skills.
  • A collaborative team player.

ABOUT OUR OFFER

  • Seasonal job according to the calendar of cruise lines calls at the port of Palma.
  • Working time, maximum 9 hours per day, with compensation for overtime through paid rest.
  • Days off and paid holidays planned according to effectively worked days.
  • Night shifts: working between 22:00 and 07:00 have extra night pay.
  • Probationary period: 2 months.
  • The position involves days of operation in the port, early starts or late endings and demands work during the weekends and some bank holidays.
