port manager

to join the team in

Northwest Spain

Key Responsibilities / Tasks

Organize, control, and manage the company’s port in coordination with port authorities and administrative bodies. Oversee maritime operations, including scheduling, safety, and environmental compliance. Develop and enforce regulations, emergency plans, and safety protocols for the port. Manage port services (e.g., pilotage, moorings, tugs) and ensure proper resource allocation and safety. Promote staff training and monitor the continuous improvement of environmental management and safety.

Key Qualifications / Experience

5+ years of strong knowledge of shipping, maritime law, regulations, tugboats, cargo handling, and stowage. Strong understanding of international regulations, maritime administration, safety measures, firefighting protocols, and environmental laws. Minimum of a Technical Engineer / Graduate, Senior Engineer / Graduate preferred. Fluency in Spanish and English is a requirement. Located or willing to relocate to Northwest Spain.
