Redstone Commodity Search are working with a leading metals producer looking to hire a port manager to join the team in Northwest Spain

Key Responsibilities / Tasks

  • Organize, control, and manage the company’s port in coordination with port authorities and administrative bodies.
  • Oversee maritime operations, including scheduling, safety, and environmental compliance.
  • Develop and enforce regulations, emergency plans, and safety protocols for the port.
  • Manage port services (e.g., pilotage, moorings, tugs) and ensure proper resource allocation and safety.
  • Promote staff training and monitor the continuous improvement of environmental management and safety.

Key Qualifications / Experience

  • 5+ years of strong knowledge of shipping, maritime law, regulations, tugboats, cargo handling, and stowage.
  • Strong understanding of international regulations, maritime administration, safety measures, firefighting protocols, and environmental laws.
  • Minimum of a Technical Engineer / Graduate, Senior Engineer / Graduate preferred.
  • Fluency in Spanish and English is a requirement.
  • Located or willing to relocate to Northwest Spain.
