P&O Repasa in Bata, Equatorial Guinea seeks an experienced Port Captain to join its Operations team. You will coordinate tugboat deployments, monitor vessel performance and ensure safe, compliant port operations.

This role requires a Master certificate, strong English, and proven leadership to manage incidents and audits while promoting HSEQ standards. The position offers a 6 weeks on / 6 weeks off rotation and a competitive remuneration package, reflecting the complexity of regional marine

Formación

• Certificate of Competency / Proficiency as Master.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant tug operations or maritime services experience.
• Strong understanding of marine operations and vessel deployment.
• Good command of English, both written and spoken.
• Excellent planning, communication and leadership skills.

Responsabilidades

• Coordinate and optimize deployment of tugboats and marine assets.
• Monitor vessel performance and downtime with Technical Department.
• Maintain direct communication with Masters and operational personnel.
• Forecast operational requirements including maintenance, repairs and crew allocation.
• Manage operational incidents with timely reporting and corrective actions.
• Support third-party marine operations within the region as required.
• Participate in audits, inspections and operational reviews.
• Promote and maintain the highest HSEQ standards in accordance with company policies and international maritime regulations.
• Ensure compliance with ISM, ISPS, MLC and ISO requirements.

This position plays a key role in the coordination and deployment of marine assets, ensuring safe, efficient, and cost-effective port and marine operations while maintaining the highest operational and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate and optimize the deployment of tugboats and other marine assets.
• Monitor vessel performance and downtime in coordination with the Technical Department.
• Maintain direct communication with Masters and operational personnel to ensure efficient vessel utilization.
• Forecast operational requirements, including maintenance, repairs and crew allocation.
• Manage operational incidents and ensure timely reporting and corrective actions.
• Support third-party marine operations within the region as required.
• Participate in audits, inspections and operational reviews.
