Using premium leathers from certified tanneries, Polène combines tradition and modernity in every handmade creation, offering pieces that are both elegant and enduring.

Mission & Responsibilities:

As Industrialisation & Methods Engineer your mission is to ensure the successful industrialisation of products and continuously improve production processes for Polène’s leather goods collections.

1. Coordinate the industrialisation of new products:

  • Organise and oversee the industrialisation process by assessing risks, validating production steps, launching tools, and following the production schedule from the start of industrialisation to full production and scaling.
  • Work closely with design teams, pattern makers, internal production, and subcontractors to ensure everything runs smoothly.
  • Ensure timelines and cost targets are met.
  • Validate costings and suggest technical improvements to reduce manufacturing time and increase product quality.
  • Create and deploy manufacturing documentation (work instructions, best practices).
  • Ensure compliance with quality procedures and technical standards.
  • Audit current manufacturing processes to ensure repeatability and consistent quality.
  • Act as the liaison for quality teams to address non-conformities and client issues.
  • Drive corrective action plans to ensure alignment of product quality, process efficiency, and standards compliance.
  • Propose product/process improvements aimed at increasing efficiency and profitability.

Requirements:

  • Engineering background with experience in an industrial and production-driven environment.
  • Proven experience (ideally 3+ years) in industrial product development, methods, Lean manufacturing or industrialisation within a similar environment.
  • Excellent organisational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate with diverse teams.
  • Experience in project management and continuous improvement.
  • Knowledge of leather materials and leather goods manufacturing processes would be a plus.
  • Fluent in both Spanish and English; French is a plus.
