Frontiers seeks a Platform Engineering Manager to lead the IAM and Messaging shared services that power our publishing platform. You will own delivery, technical direction, and people development for a 5–8 engineer team, balancing new capability with reliability and security.

You will partner with the Platform Product Manager and Senior Engineers to align roadmaps, drive architectural decisions, and manage risk. Strong leadership and a background in distributed systems are essential.

Formación

• Minimum 4+ years directly managing engineering teams.
• Delivery of backend/platform/infrastructure services.
• Technical depth to guide authentication and messaging infra.
• Knowledge of cloud infra, CI/CD, and service reliability.
• Understanding how internal teams operate as service providers.
• Balance of people management and technical work.
• Clear, confident communication with stakeholders.
• Professional-level English (spoken and written).

Responsabilidades

• Lead the IAM and Messaging portfolio day-to-day operations.
• Translate roadmap into executable engineering plans in collaboration with Platform PM.
• Own team delivery for authentication, messaging and related infrastructure.
• Guide technical direction with Senior Engineers and review architecture proposals.
• Develop people: set expectations, feedback, and growth plans.
• Ensure reliability: SLAs/SLOs, incident management, and post-incident learning.
• Improve processes to increase delivery efficiency and reliability.
• Represent the team cross-functionally to align with other engineering groups.
