Job Summary

We seek a skilled Observability Engineer experienced with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Helm) and well-versed in Observability features (logging, metrics, tracing, APM). The role involves working with hybrid, high-volume distributed platforms handling thousands of transactions per second.

The ideal candidate will have proven experience with open-source components such as Telegraf, Prometheus, Grafana, FluentBit, Logstash, OpenSearch/ElasticSearch, Kibana, OpenTelemetry, Jaeger, or similar technologies.

Our Observability Platform components are deployed on Kubernetes and/or AWS EC2 instances, requiring support, deployment, governance, best practices, and automation for all user teams and internal stakeholders. You will be part of a talented IT team focused on implementing solutions to meet product and technological challenges continually.

Responsibilities

• Implement solutions aligned with product requirements and technological challenges.
• Design for performance, scalability, and reliability.
• Ensure adherence to the Definition of Done at the technical level.
• Analyze technical trade-offs and determine key components and subsystems.
• Identify weaknesses and failure points within Observability solutions and suggest improvements.
• Support teams during significant technical challenges.
• Lead the development of technical and functional monitoring standards.
• Maintain up-to-date technical documentation.
• Participate in the company's Communities of Practice.
• Champion new observability-related technological features.
• Serve as a technological reference and evangelist.

Required Skills

• Experience as an Observability Engineer or similar role supporting monitoring, logging, tracing, and APM initiatives.
• Hands-on experience with tools like Telegraf, Prometheus, Grafana, FluentBit, Logstash, OpenSearch/ElasticSearch, Kibana, OpenTelemetry, Jaeger.
• Experience working in AWS cloud environments.
• Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform and Helm.
• Experience with containerized applications in Docker and Kubernetes.
• Linux systems administration skills.
• Experience in distributed system environments.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies like Scrum or SAFe.
• Strong communication skills in English and Spanish, both written and verbal.
• Knowledge of Python or Go is a plus.
• Strong analytical, logical, and problem-solving skills.
