Job summary

Airbus Defence and Space SAU is seeking a Software Engineer in Getafe, Madrid, to contribute to the Software Mission Systems Team. You will work on high-performance distributed systems, delivering state-of-the-art software in collaboration with cross-functional teams.

The role emphasizes modern C++, Linux, DDS, Qt, and rigorous testing. The team operates in an international, multicultural environment with hybrid work options and opportunities for professional growth within Airbus.

Qualifications

Degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent.
5+ years in software development, specifically in high-performance applications.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, able to work in international environments.
Advanced English language proficiency.

Responsibilities

Design, write, and maintain C++ code for Linux platforms.
Implement data-centric interfaces and DDS-based architectures.
Develop and maintain GUIs using Qt framework.
Deliver customer-facing features with trunk-based development and continuous value streams.
Apply Test Driven Development with unit, integration, and regression tests.
Create technical docs including architectures, APIs, and DDS data models.
