With a strong technical-commercial focus, we support innovation across key industries such as automotive, packaging, consumer goods, electrical/electronic, and industrial manufacturing.

Position: We are currently seeking a Polymer Technical Specialist to join our team in Barcelona, bringing expertise and deep technical knowledge to support both customers and sales teams throughout Southern Europe.

Key Responsibilities

1. Act as the technical lead for polymer applications, supporting customers with material selection, process optimization, and troubleshooting.
2. Provide expert advice on thermoplastic materials (e.g., PP, PE, PA, PC, ABS, POM, TPEs) and their behavior in various processing technologies (injection molding, extrusion, blow molding, etc.).
3. Collaborate closely with the commercial team to develop technical solutions that align with customer requirements.
4. Conduct technical training sessions and workshops for customers and internal stakeholders.
5. Manage technical trials at customer sites and coordinate laboratory testing when needed.
6. Stay up to date on industry trends, regulatory requirements (REACH, RoHS, etc.), and new material developments.
7. Actively contribute to product portfolio development based on market demands and technical feasibility.

Required Qualifications

1. Degree in Materials Science, Polymer Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
2. At least 5 years of experience in a technical role within the plastics or polymer industry (e.g., compounding, conversion, R&D, or technical service).
3. Strong knowledge of polymer properties, processing techniques, and application development.
4. Ability to translate technical insights into commercially viable solutions.
5. Fluent in English; Spanish is a strong plus. French or Italian would be a bonus.
6. Willingness to travel across the region (approx. 30–40%).
