We are currently seeking a Senior Application Plastics Engineer to join our team in Barcelona , bringing expertise and deep technical knowledge to support both customers and sales teams throughout Southern Europe.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the technical lead for polymer applications, supporting customers with material selection, process optimization, and troubleshooting.
  • Provide expert advice on thermoplastic materials (e.g., PP, PE, PA, PC, ABS, POM, TPEs) and their behavior in various processing technologies (injection molding, extrusion, blow molding, etc.).
  • Collaborate closely with the commercial team to develop technical solutions that align with customer requirements.
  • Conduct technical training sessions and workshops for customers and internal stakeholders.
  • Manage technical trials at customer sites and coordinate laboratory testing when needed.
  • Stay up to date on industry trends, regulatory requirements (REACH, RoHS, etc.), and new material developments.
  • Actively contribute to product portfolio development based on market demands and technical feasibility.

Required Qualifications

  • Degree in Materials Science, Polymer Engineering, Chemical Engineering or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a technical role within the plastics or polymer industry (e.g., compounding, conversion, R&D, or technical service).
  • Strong knowledge of polymer properties, processing techniques, and application development.
  • Ability to translate technical insights into commercially viable solutions.
  • Fluent in English ; Spanish is a strong plus. French or Italian would be a bonus.
  • Willingness to travel across the region (approx. 30–40%).
