Plant EHS Coordinator

Job Description

We are reinforcing our team and are looking for an Environmental, Health and Safety Coordinator to join us at our plant in Olvega, Spain.

What you can look forward to as Plant EHS Coordinator :

  • Assist the site in establishing systems to achieve and maintain compliance certifications, including completing EHS internal audits and compliance assurance monitoring.
  • Provide day-to-day EHS support to the plant (e.g., equipment release, hazardous material management, workplace condition monitoring, organizing EHS Kaizens with employees, etc.).
  • Report on EHS performance, address issues, and develop corrective actions.
  • Deliver EHS training, ranging from orientation for new employees and required regulatory topics to periodic refresher training for leaders, BBS coaches, and others.
  • Support EHS key programs and activities.
  • Ensure accurate reporting in corporate and governmental EHS systems.
  • Maintain an up-to-date register of compliance obligations and define actions to address new requirements as needed.
  • Facilitate EHS process optimization and cost reduction activities, including supporting lean workshops.

Your profile as Plant EHS Coordinator :

  • Degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health and Safety, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in EHS roles, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of EHS regulations and standards.
  • Communication : Clearly conveying safety protocols and procedures to all employees as well as inspiring and guiding teams to prioritize safety and compliance.
  • Attention to Detail : Carefully monitoring safety practices and identifying potential hazards.
  • Problem-Solving : Quickly addressing and resolving safety issues as they arise.
  • Teamwork : Collaborating effectively with other departments to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Language Skills : Proficiency in Spanish is essential. English will be highly valuable.
