Formación

• Experiencia de 1 a 3 años en instalaciones de producción.
• Experiencia en sistemas eléctricos, mecánicos, fontanería y HVAC.
• Habilidad para trabajar con equipos interdisciplinarios.

Responsabilidades

• Desarrollo del diseño detallado y la adquisición del equipo para la planta piloto.
• Supervisión del proceso de construcción asegurando cumplimiento de estándares.
• Instalación y configuración de sistemas de procesamiento alimentario.

We are looking for an Pilot Plant Engineer to build up our fermentation pilot plant

We are looking for a hands-on person with experience in building and assembling a production facility.

Tasks

• Detailed Design and Procurement : Develop a comprehensive design for the pilot plant and select appropriate equipment. This includes choosing compatible OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) suppliers for the pilot line or equipment
• Construction & Management : Oversee and be part of the construction process of the pilot plant, ensuring it meets design specifications and safety standards
• Equipment Installation and Setup : Install and configure various food processing systems, such as a fermentation room, HVAC, upstream and downstream processing of the food materials
• Support the development of new ideas, new processes, and procedures as the company grows
• You will work in strong interaction together with Biotechnologists, Food Scientists, and Bioprocess engineers to build the technology to make the best product
• Be able to think critically, manage your time effectively and be flexible to support cross-functional projects and help the company meet its goals

Requirements

• Acredited technician with extensive experience or MSc in Engineering, or a related field with relevant 1-3 years work experience
• Hands-on experience in building equipment or production plants, at least 1-3y (knowledge in bioprocesses is desirable)
• Experience in electrical, mechanical, plumbing and HVAC is desired.
• Strategic and analytical thinker, able to improve internal competencies and technologies to reach company goals
• Excellent written and verbal skills in English
• Willingness to travel for about once or twice a quarter for about 3 days each
• You will work across disciplines with biotech PhDs, customers, development partners and operations, ensuring fast learning on the job
