Job Description:

Deusto Education Research, whose mission is to improve education by advancing high-quality educational research with scientific, policy and societal impact, invites applications for a postdoctoral research position at the SCIREARLY project.

Context of the SCIREARLY project

The project aims to identify, systematize, and replicate successful policies and practices based on scientific research that reduce underachievement and early school leaving in Europe. It focuses on improving basic skills, including digital skills, and fostering psycho-emotional well-being. The project promotes a participatory approach involving educators, students, families, scientists, and policymakers to co-create solutions with societal impact.

Objectives

The candidate will join the research team to conduct activities such as:

• Quantitative and qualitative data collection and analysis
• Publishing in high-impact journals (WoS and SJR)
• Writing results, preparing deliverables, and dissemination

Funding Entity

Horizon Europe, project SCIREARLY.

We offer

• Duration: 1 year
• Salary: €32,985.15 to €42,000 gross per year, paid in 15 monthly installments, depending on experience
• Contract category: Associate researcher/investigador/a asociado/a

Starting Date

Preferably November 2024, flexible based on candidate availability

Qualifications required

• PhD in Education, Psychology, Sociology, or related fields

Requested background knowledge

• Experience in research projects, especially in EU grants
• Proficiency in data collection, analysis, and dissemination
• Track record of scientific publications
• Excellent English and high-level Spanish skills
