About the job

Within Chubb Operations Hub for Continental Europe, based in Madrid, you will act as Operations Technician for our Iberian branches. Your role is to ensure high standards of quality, service delivery, and accuracy within the operations function by reviewing instructions from the Iberia Underwriting team or brokers, accurately entering premium bookings, and preparing policy documentation.

You will provide technical and administrative support to manage the Online SME portfolio, covering Financial Lines, Casualty, Cyber, Marine, and potentially other lines of business.

Support the standardized use of Ignite / ICT to deliver seamless, high-quality service to customers.

Assist the Operations Manager as Process Owner for all processing activities, acting as Subject Matter Expert for both retained and outsourced tasks.

A flexible approach is essential to support high-quality service delivery and outsourced activities.

Key responsibilities :

  1. Manage user system maintenance within SLAs, including setup, amendments, and removals.
  2. Manage system setup for new products, including policy documentation and invoice production.
  3. Own and maintain relevant systems, including template management, product and code mappings, and interface links with back-end systems.
  4. Understand processes in-depth and continuously review for improvements, error-proofing, automation, simplification, and elimination of non-value steps.
  5. Manage Broker Network setup and maintenance, including Broker Novations, access rights, and providing Broker Assistance.
  6. Respond to all broker correspondence within SLA.
  7. Handle manual processing of system fall-outs within SLA.
  8. Review system landscape for inconsistencies to maintain data quality.
  9. Stay current on product knowledge and act as SME for Ignite / ICT managed products.
  10. Develop knowledge across relevant lines of business for accurate processing.
  11. Monitor outsourced work, identify issues, conduct root cause analysis, and recommend improvements.
  12. Produce SOX reports, including outsourced processed business, for team sign-off.
  13. Conduct audits and quality checks of outsourced and retained work to ensure high standards.
  14. Perform quality checks on booking requests before forwarding to third-party providers.
  15. Investigate and resolve credit control queries within SLA.

Qualifications

  • Native or bilingual French speaker.
  • Business-level English (advanced); high proficiency in Dutch preferred.
  • Experience in processing roles, including data entry, following instructions, and document/report drafting, especially related to policy cycles.
  • Previous experience in Commercial Insurance is preferred.
