Research Programs at CRAG (from basic science to applied research using plant experimental model systems, crops and farm animals) make extensive use of genomic technologies and large sets of genetic and genomic data ( The Center for Research in Agricultural Genomics (CRAG) is looking for a PhD Student to be part of the group Computational and Synthetic Biology.

The Candidate Will Be In Charge Of

• Culture and genetic engineering of microalgae
• Cloning of genes and luciferase activity test

The tasks are included within the framework of the BioLumCity project, code PID2023-153241OB-I00 «DESARROLLO DE CHLAMYDOMONAS REINHARDTII DEGRADADORAS DE MICROPLASTICOS. Funded by the Fritz y Trude Fortmann foundation.

Requirements

Educational requirements :

• Master’s degree in biology, Biochemistry, Food Biotechnology or Biotechnology

Experience

• Should have knowledge in plant molecular biology
• Experience in microalgae transformation, promoter engineering experience, microalgae culture are essential.

Working Conditions

Contract Duration : 6 months

Hours / week : full time
