ISGlobal, the Barcelona Institute for Global Health, invites applications for a full-time predoctoral researcher to work on how sustainable dietary patterns affect health and the environment, using modelling and simulation focused on the EAT‑Lancet Planetary Health Diet. The project sits at the intersection of nutrition, public health and planetary health.

Formación

• University Degree and a Master’s Degree in nutrition, public health, epidemiology, food systems, biomedicine or related discipline (min 300 ECTS) enables start of PhD in Spain.
• Eligibility assessed by the PhD programme following university admission criteria.
• At least 3 years of research experience in NCDs, nutrition, dietary patterns, food environments and/or related public health areas.
• Good quantitative skills; experience with R and/or Stata; willingness to further develop epidemiological methods and statistical analysis.
• Experience in epidemiological research, literature review, data analysis and scientific writing with interest in links between food systems, nutrition, climate change and planetary health.

Responsabilidades

• Conduct literature reviews, quantitative analyses and simulation modelling and draft articles for publication.
• Disseminate findings at conferences, workshops, policy events, peer‑reviewed publications and media.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and external partners in NCDs, nutrition, epidemiology, food systems and planetary health.
