Formación

  • Valid NJ Pharmacist License required.

Pharmacist

At Princeton Medical Group, P.A. our mission has always been to deliver excellent medical care with compassion. We are a private medical practice with over 30 providers and 8 medical specialties. We are searching for dedicated and motivated employees to join our dynamic and growing team!

We are currently looking to hire a full time Pharmacist to work in our Infusion and Pharmacy Departments.

Pharmacist Responsibilities:

  • Direct preparation, compounding, and dispensing of all prescriptions for infusion and medically integrated pharmacy services.
  • Prepare sterile IV medications accurately and in compliance with regulatory standards; oversee preparation by technicians.
  • Oversee technicians on a day to day basis for all functions regarding IV compounding; train new pharmacy technicians in these areas.
  • Conduct reviews of medication order to ensure appropriateness, accuracy, and patient-specific requirements are met.
  • Ensure all dosage is calculated appropriately.
  • Ensure the safe and effective use of IV medications, monitoring for potential drug interactions, adverse effects, and therapeutic outcomes.
  • Consult with oncologists on patient care and therapy.
  • Maintain compliance with state and federal regulations, as well as accreditation standards for sterile compounding.
  • Patient care rounding and drug information resource specialist.
  • Provide education to staff (technicians and nurses) and patients regarding medications.
  • Work with the providers to identify alternative medications if necessary. Assist providers with peer to peers if necessary.
  • Ensure appropriate documentation of all relevant areas is completed.
  • Other duties as assigned by management.

Pharmacist Requirements:

  • Valid NJ Pharmacist License
  • Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm D. from an accredited pharmacy school).
  • Minimum of three (3-5) years health care experience, is generally required.
  • Oncology/Chemotherapy infusion experience preferred.
  • Broad knowledge of infusion, in-office dispensing, pharmacy, and nursing regulations and administration required.
  • Excellent organization and communications skills.
  • Accuracy in mathematical calculations, including pharmacokinetic dosing.
  • Knowledge of Intellidose, Nucleus, and/or other inventory management systems preferred.
  • EMR experience required; NextGen experience preferred.

Schedule:

  • Onsite position 40 hours per week.

Job Locations:

  • Plainsboro, NJ
  • Occasional travel to Princeton, NJ for meetings.
