Job Responsibilities
- Process embryonic samples for genetic testing (PGT-A and PGT-SR).
- Prepare and quantify libraries for next-generation sequencing (NGS).
- Ensure quality control of samples throughout the workflow.
- Operate and maintain sequencing platforms (e.g., Illumina, Thermo Fisher, Oxford Nanopore, Pacbio).
- Accurately document procedures and sample tracking using LIMS.
- Collaborate with diagnostics personnel to ensure result integrity.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of laboratory protocols and workflows.
- Comply with quality and biosafety standards (e.g., ISO, CAP, CLIA, CE-IVD).
Qualifications
- Educational Background: Technician in Clinical and Biomedical Laboratory, Technician in Pathological Anatomy, or a related discipline.
- Experience: More than 3 years in similar roles and responsibilities.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency with micropipetting, PCR, electrophoresis, fluorometric quantification.
- Experience with lab equipment such as thermocyclers, Qubit, Bioanalyzer or TapeStation, NGS sequencers.
- Comfortable working with digital lab tools (LIMS, Excel, genetic databases).
- Additional Skills:
- Proactive, responsible, and eager to learn.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills.
- Ability to adapt to new technologies and methodologies in genetics.
