Grup Montaner is seeking a temporary People Operations Specialist based in Barcelona to support its fast-growing technology partner across EMEA. The role combines hands-on HR operations, compliance, and process improvement in a hybrid setup.

You will manage onboarding, lifecycle changes, LOA, and HRIS data in Workday, collaborating with Payroll, Legal, and PBPs to drive efficiency across Spain, the UK and Portugal.

Formación

• Experience in People Operations or HR operations in an international environment.
• Solid knowledge of local labor legislation across EMEA (Spain, UK, Portugal).
• Experience using HRIS systems (Workday) and operational tooling (JIRA).

Responsabilidades

• Manage end-to-end onboarding across assigned EMEA countries with local compliance.
• Coordinate lifecycle changes: hires, transfers, promotions, compensation changes, terminations.
• Support offboarding with Legal, Payroll, PBPs, and ensure accurate documentation.
• Administer LOA processes including medical and parental leaves in line with local law.
• Maintain contracts and right-to-work records in Workday; collaborate with Mobility/relocation teams.

To support its continued growth, the company is seeking a temporary People OperationsSpecialist based in Barcelona, working in a hybrid model. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to People Operations across multiple EMEA countries within a fast-paced, global environment.

About the Role

The People Operations Specialist, EMEA will play a key role in supporting operational excellence and employee experience across multiple EMEA countries, with a strong focus on Spain, the UK, and Portugal. This role combines hands-on operational execution, regional compliance knowledge, process optimization, and cross-functional partnership in a fast-paced global environment.

What You Will Do

Employee Lifecycle Management

• Manage end-to-end onboarding processes across assigned EMEA countries, ensuring a seamless employee experience and compliance with local requirements
• Coordinate and execute employee lifecycle changes including hires, transfers, promotions, compensation changes, and terminations
• Support offboarding processes in partnership with People Business Partners, Legal, Payroll, and IT, ensuring compliance and accurate documentation
• Administer Leave of Absence (LOA) processes, including medical leaves, parental leave, and other statutory or company leaves, ensuring compliance with local legislation
• Ensure employee documentation, contracts, right-to-work documentation, and required records are accurately maintained within Workday
• Partner with Global Mobility and external vendors when immigration or relocation support is required

HR Operations & Compliance

• Support compliance with local labor legislation and internal policies across EMEA countries, particularly Spain, the UK, and Portugal
• Maintain awareness of legislative updates impacting HR operations and elevate potential risks appropriately
• Support audits and compliance reviews, ensuring employee data integrity and documentation accuracy
• Partner closely with Payroll, Legal, HR Tech, and PBPs to ensure operational accuracy and process consistency
• Execute regular audits of HRIS data and employee records to ensure accuracy and compliance

People Operations Systems & Process Improvement

• Support continuous improvement initiatives across People Operations processes and workflows
• Collaborate cross-functionally to create and maintain SOPs, process documentation, and operational guidelines
• Identify operational inefficiencies and recommend scalable solutions to improve employee and stakeholder experience
• Utilize JIRA, Workday, and reporting tools to manage requests, track metrics, and improve operational effectiveness

Employee Support & Stakeholder Partnership

• Act as a trusted operational partner for employees, managers, and PBPs across assigned regions
• Provide guidance on People Operations processes, policies, and employee lifecycle matters
• Support sensitive employee matters with professionalism, discretion, and strong attention to detail
• Help drive consistency and operational excellence across global People Operations practices

What We Offer

• This is a temporary position for an initial duration of 6 months, with potential for permanent incorporation based on performance and business needs
• Competitive salary package in the range of €33,000 – €36,000 gross annual salary, depending on experience.
