A recruitment agency in Barcelona is seeking an experienced HR Operations professional on a temporary contract for 8 months. You will provide hands-on support in HR matters, focusing on employee relations across Iberia. Applicants should have at least 5 years of HR experience, be fluent in Spanish and English, and possess strong knowledge of Spanish labour law. • Proven experience managing employee relations in complex environments.

• Proven experience managing employee relations topics in complex or fast-paced environments.
• Confident communicator who partners with managers across functions and cultures.

Responsabilidades

• Support HR function and business leaders across Iberia.
• Manage employee relations cases including performance management and conflict situations.
• Ensure compliance with labour regulations and internal procedures.
• Support managers in preparing for sensitive conversations with guidance and context.
• Partner with HR Service Delivery to deliver a consistent and compliant employee experience.
• Manage communications with Works Councils.
• Provide day-to-day HR guidance on performance expectations, goals, development and compensation topics.
• Support organizational changes and team adjustments with managers and senior HR stakeholders.
• Contribute to streamlining HR processes and updating templates, workflows, and documentation.
• Coordinate onboarding and off-boarding, contract changes, and leaves of absence.
• Support local and global engagement initiatives and action plans.

This is a 8 month temporary contract - ideal start February 2026.

You will support our HR function and business leaders across Iberia by building strong partnerships and providing hands‑on support on day‑to‑day people matters, with a particular focus on Employee Relations. Working closely with managers in Iberia Sales, local Marketing, and our Global Shared Service Centre, you will help ensure a fair, consistent, and compliant employee experience.

• Act as a first point of contact for managers and employees on HR policies, procedures, and employee relations topics.
• Support the management of employee relations cases, including performance management, probation reviews, conflict situations, sickness and attendance matters, and disciplinary processes, with guidance from senior HR colleagues.
• Ensure accurate documentation, timely follow‑up, and compliance with internal procedures and Spanish and Portuguese labour regulations.
• Support managers in preparing for sensitive conversations by providing guidance, context, and recommended approaches.
• Partner closely with HR Service Delivery to deliver a consistent and compliant employee experience across the full employee lifecycle.
• Manage communications and interactions with Works Councils.
• Provide day‑to‑day HR guidance on performance expectations, goal setting, development planning, and compensation‑related topics.
• Support organisational changes and team adjustments in collaboration with managers and senior HR stakeholders.
• Contribute to streamlining HR processes and updating templates, workflows, and documentation.
• Coordinate with HR Service Delivery on onboarding and off‑boarding, contract changes, and leaves of absence.
• Support local and global engagement initiatives, surveys, and follow‑up action plans with the business.
• Act as a culture ambassador, embedding the values in everyday interactions.

Who you are:

• You bring a minimum of five years’ experience in an HR Operations or equivalent generalist role.
• You are fluent in Spanish and English.
• You have an educational background in HR, Industrial Relations, Psychology, Law, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• You have strong knowledge of Spanish labour law.
• You have proven experience managing employee relations topics in complex or fast‑paced environments.
• You are a confident and credible communicator who builds trust easily and enjoys partnering with managers across different functions and cultural contexts.
