Shape HR strategy during the launch and operations of a new hospital

THE POSITION
  1. Assist with workforce transition, recruitment, and onboarding.
  2. Support the development and delivery of training programs.
  3. Create position descriptions and communication strategies for transitioning employees.
  4. Collaborate with People Support to implement record management systems.
  5. Ensure compliance with safety processes and culture.
  6. Manage logistics for interviews, training, and onboarding.
Operational Phase
  1. Handle investigations, complaints, and ensure policy adherence.
  2. Coach and mentor managers on performance management and HR processes.
  3. Act as the first point of contact for Union inquiries.
  4. Oversee performance reviews, training administration, and audit compliance.
  5. Support recruitment strategies and maintain staff pipelines.
  6. Provide HR support, resolve employee queries, and lead safety initiatives.
  7. Manage workers' compensation claims and HR-related systems (PageUp, Deputy, CHESS).
THE PERSON
  1. Minimum of 5 years of generalist HR experience, ideally in blue-collar or healthcare environments.
  2. Strong administrative skills and attention to detail.
  3. Proven experience coaching and mentoring managers.
  4. Tertiary qualifications in HR or a related field are highly desirable.
  5. Willingness to obtain a National Police Check Clearance and provide proof of immunity for vaccine-preventable diseases.

Experience within a healthcare environment is highly desirable.
