The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in HR or Business Administration and experience in a generalist HR role, with fluency in Spanish and English.

Overview

(Fixed-Term Contract / Contrato de Sustitución) Yugo is a globally trusted name in student housing. We connect young people to opportunities and students to exceptional spaces, emphasizing a unique approach centered on people, planet, and passion.

Our People Team plays a crucial role in supporting all Yugo employees. You will provide timely and effective operational and commercial HR advice, supporting the People Partner to meet the short, medium, and long-term objectives of the People function.

This role involves assisting the People team with a comprehensive range of HR services to build credibility and confidence among stakeholders and employees. You will work in line with company policies, minimizing business risks, and gain exposure to managing People projects and initiatives aligned with the company's growth and strategic plans.

Responsibilities
Payroll and General HR
  • Update and manage HRIS data daily, weekly, and monthly to ensure accuracy.
  • Manage Time Management, Payroll, and Performance Management Systems.
  • Draft employment contracts and addendums compliant with local legislation.
  • Prepare payroll instructions for monthly processing, including new starters, leavers, and amendments, and submit for approval.
  • Coordinate new employee inductions and onboarding with relevant departments.
  • Generate reports from HRIS for audits and employee data monitoring.
  • Support internal and external employee transfers in accordance with legislation such as TUPE or acquisitions.
  • Serve as a point of contact for employee inquiries and concerns.
  • Assist with conflict resolution and disciplinary procedures.
  • Prepare management reports for analysis by the People Partner.
  • Promote a positive workplace culture as a business ambassador.
Policy Implementation and Compliance
  • Support the rollout of HR policies and procedures.
  • Ensure adherence to labor laws and regulations.
  • Conduct regular audits of HR processes to maintain standards.
Project Work
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Participate in various People & Culture programs and initiatives.
  • Communicate updates and new information promptly through People & Culture channels.
Qualifications

Essential:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Experience providing Generalist HR support, preferably in a multi-site, large matrix organization.
  • Basic knowledge of relevant policies, employment practices, and legislation in Spain.
  • Experience in a generalist HR role.
  • Fluent in Spanish and English, both written and spoken.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and HR systems.
  • Strong time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks.

Desirable:

  • Experience working in an international business environment.
  • Background in student accommodation or hospitality sectors.
  • Ability to communicate in another European language.
