Job summary

Cognizant is seeking a Pega Senior Architect / Tech Lead (remote from Spain) to drive end-to-end BPM/Java/Cloud programs. You will mentor engineers, interact with senior stakeholders, and shape delivery strategy across international teams.

Requirements include 10+ years IT delivery, Java/J2EE, REST APIs, Kubernetes, Cloud, and Agile methodologies. English is mandatory; Spanish is a plus. Expect permanent contract and global collaboration opportunities.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of IT delivery experience with BPM/Java/Cloud exposure.
• Proven end-to-end delivery of large-scale programs or multiple projects.
• Strong Java/J2EE background, REST APIs & Microservices.
• Experience with Cloud tech (Kubernetes, containers, distributed sys).
• Familiar with Agile delivery models and SDLC.
• Able to engage with senior technical and business stakeholders.
• Experience leading global/distributed teams.
• Excellent English communication; Spanish nice to have.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end delivery of BPM/Pega projects, ensuring quality, timelines and client satisfaction.
• Be primary contact for client stakeholders including business and IT leadership.
• Drive solution design with Enterprise and Solution Architects.
• Mentor multidisciplinary teams across geographies.
• Oversee delivery across Java/J2EE, REST APIs, Cloud (Kubernetes), BPM platforms (Pega preferred).
• Ensure Agile practices and continuous improvement.
• Govern SDLC from planning to delivery tracking.
• Coordinate testing and defect resolution; oversee quality controls.
• Support pre-sales, RFPs, and practice growth with global leadership.
• Promote AI & GenAI adoption in BPM workflows.
