Formación

  • 1-2 years of experience in Spanish or Portuguese Payroll.

What You’ll Do as a Payroll Advisor

In your role, you’ll collaborate with different people across a range of skillsets. Here’s a flavour of your day-to-day :

  1. Working closely with the payroll team and payroll provider to deliver payroll.
  2. Preparation and checking of high-volume payrolls to help ensure that employees are paid accurately and on time.
  3. Working flexibly to set deadlines.
  4. Following detailed payroll checking procedures across all areas such as report production, payroll checking and correction, sickness processing, etc.
  5. Maintaining an allocation of stores by processing information received from People and Culture teams and providing an excellent service to all our customers.
  6. Learning and applying current Spanish and Portuguese labour laws, Primark collective agreement regulations, and Primark rules on calculating and entering company & statutory payments.
  7. Dealing with correspondence enquiries in a timely and efficient manner from stores, payroll provider, wider global payroll team, authorities, and other third parties.
  8. Processing timely payment of monthly salary payments in compliance with tax and social security law conditions.
  9. Preparation and checking extra payment payrolls, statutory payments, and special payments under collective bargaining agreement law.
  10. Management of manual payments using Excel templates.
  11. Administration tasks such as post payroll reconciliations and reporting for wider business.
  12. Writing and producing reports using a reporting system and MS Excel for day-to-day duties.
  13. Learning new tasks associated with payroll processing and systems with a view to role development.
  14. Taking on additional responsibilities for other team tasks, such as international payroll support, over time.

  • 1-2 years of experience within Spanish or Portuguese Payroll.
  • Very good knowledge of current labour law.
  • A degree in labour relations, business administration, or related studies; analytical, accurate, flexible, and comfortable working in a busy environment.
  • Intermediate MS Excel skills, experience handling accounting and ERP software.
  • Intermediate English-speaking skills preferred.
  • A team player with a positive attitude.
  • Organized with good attention to detail.
  • Motivated to achieve high standards of performance and quality.
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy.
