About the Role

As Pastry Kitchen Commis at Mandarin Oriental Ritz, Madrid, within the Gastronomic Restaurant Deessa**, is responsible for assisting in the preparation, production, and presentation of pastries and desserts while maintaining high standards of hygiene and kitchen organization.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist the bosses collecting and organizing them in the corresponding storage.
• Inform the boss of the ingredient quantities when stock levels are low and make sure there is always enough stock for the day to day.
• Store the ingredients in specific containers, making sure they are preserved and labeled according to the company's standard.
• Clean and disinfect work surfaces, tools, utensils, and work area before and after use, as indicated by the food safety standard.
• Report on the problems of cleaning and maintenance of the kitchens, supporting the daily checks carried out by the bosses.
• Support other points of sales and banquets if those are requested by the bosses.
• Attend and participate in all meetings and trainings, required as scheduled.
• Perform any other task, as required by the bosses.
• Be sure to follow the food safety and health standards set by Mandarin Oriental Hotel.

What We Expect from You:

• Preferably, diploma in culinary arts.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience working as assistant pastry cook.
• Basic experience in food preparation and cooking.
• Food Handling Certificate
