Formación

About this position

We are looking for a highly qualified, resourceful, and dynamic professional. As a Partnership Development Consultant, you will lead efforts to promote and engage European entities with the "BID for the Americas" Program.

You will work in the Office in Europe, part of the Global Partnerships Office. This team is responsible for strengthening alliances and mobilizing resources with the IDB Group's 16 European member countries, Israel, the European Union, and key European-based partners across the public, private, academic, and non-governmental sectors.

What you’ll do
  1. Promote and Engage European entities with the "BID for the Americas" Program in coordination with the Productivity, Trade and Innovation Sector (PTI)
  2. Awareness Campaigns: Develop marketing materials to showcase the benefits of the program, tailored for European companies interested in expanding into the Americas.
  3. Networking Events: Plan and coordinate webinars, workshops, and networking events to connect European businesses with Latin American and Caribbean stakeholders, enhancing engagement and visibility.
  4. Partnership Development: Collaborate with European chambers of commerce, trade associations, and industry groups to promote the program and leverage their networks.

2. Identify and Pursue Strategic Partnership Opportunities

  • Identify and pursue potential partnerships with foundations, family offices, and other strategic entities to support IDB Group’s objectives in Europe.
  • Develop strategies to engage high-level partners and facilitate collaboration aligned with the IDB Group’s goals for the Americas.

3. Drive Key Events and Outreach in Europe

  • Lead the preparation and execution of high-level events, workshops, and outreach activities to support strategic objectives.
  • Coordinate partner engagement, including identifying potential partners, preparing materials, and ensuring strategic alignment.
  • Track outcomes of engagements and communicate progress to maximize impact and strengthen partnerships.

4. Liaison with Communications Team

  • Act as the primary liaison between EUR and the communications team based in Washington, D.C.
  • Coordinate marketing and communication efforts to ensure consistency and maximize outreach impact.
What you'll need

Education: Master’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, Law, International Development, International Relations, or related fields.

Experience: At least ten (10) years of progressive experience in partnership development.

Languages: Proficiency in Spanish and English (spoken and written) is required. Knowledge of French and Portuguese is a plus.

Requirements

• Citizenship: Must be a citizen of Spain or one of the 48 member countries with residency or legal permit to work in Spain.

• Family Ties: No family members (up to the fourth degree of consanguinity and second degree of affinity, including spouse) working at the IDB, IDB Invest, or IDB Lab.

Type of contract and duration

• Full-Time National Consultant, 12 months (up to 36 months).
