We are seeking a highly skilled Travel Coordinator to join our team on a part-time basis. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to work in the travel industry, particularly those with previous experience in customer service or event management.

The ideal candidate will be comfortable managing multiple tasks and staying calm under pressure. They will be responsible for handling incoming phone calls and emails from customers, providing solutions on the spot and ensuring every customer interaction is handled with care and attention to detail.

This role involves working closely with suppliers, learning their contact information and being familiar with our internal booking platform. The successful candidate will also assist Destination Managers in preparing final itineraries and attending end of week meetings to hand over important information for weekend arrivals.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Handle incoming phone calls and emails from customers, providing ad-hoc solutions on the spot.
  • Switch between languages as calls come from a wide range of nationalities and adapt quickly.
  • Answer time-sensitive calls on our emergency phones to support customers with disruption and be an ambassador for our company at potentially stressful times.
  • Contact suppliers when necessary to solve issues and learn their contact information.
  • Assist Destination Managers in the French-speaking & Iberica destinations with preparing final itineraries and attending end of week meetings.

Requirements :

  • Previous experience in travel planning / event management or customer service.
  • Comfortable problem-solving and communicating confidently in time-pressured and challenging situations.
  • An excellent phone manner and fluency in English & French with a good level of Spanish.
  • Availability 2 weekends a month (including Friday evening) to be on call and available for phone calls from groups.
  • Good phone & internet access and a freelance working situation that allows European hours.
