The Barcelona Institute for Global Health (ISGlobal) is a cutting-edge institute addressing global public health challenges through research, translation into policy, and education. ISGlobal has a broad portfolio in communicable and non-communicable diseases, including environmental and climate determinants, and applies a multidisciplinary scientific approach ranging from the molecular to the population level. Research is organized into five programs : Climate, Air Pollution, Nature and Urban Health; Environment and Health over the Lifecourse; Global Viral and Bacterial Infections; Malaria and Neglected Parasitic Diseases; and Maternal, Child, and Reproductive Health. WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

ISGlobal is seeking an experienced postdoctoral researcher to join the INMA (INfancia y Medio Ambiente) pregnancy cohort, which began over 12 years ago in various Spanish settings ( ) and has recently undergone a new follow-up when children are 17-18 years old. This position is part of the P4COPD project (Prediction, Prevention, Personalized and Precision management of Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) in young adults), funded by the Instituto de Salud Carlos III. The postdoc will analyze the cost-effectiveness of P4COPD interventions, such as early disease detection using blood biomarkers.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Conduct systematic and scoping reviews of the literature.
  • Analyze data and draft original articles for publication in high-quality journals.
  • Disseminate findings through conferences, workshops, and the project website.
  • Collaborate with the study team and external specialists.
  • Supervise master's and PhD students.

TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE / QUALIFICATIONS

  • Doctorate in Biomedicine, Epidemiology, Public Health, or related fields.
  • Experience in systematic and scoping reviews.
  • Previous experience with cohort data research.

LANGUAGE LEVEL

  • Catalan and Spanish – to communicate with patients.
  • Intermediate-high level of English (at least B2).

CONDITIONS

  • Duration : 6 months.
  • Starting date : 1 July 2025.
  • Part-time : 30 hours / week.
  • Salary : Technician I B.
