IRB Barcelona seeks a Lab Manager for a part-time role to facilitate the Structural Bioinformatics and Network Biology Laboratory. The successful candidate will manage administrative tasks, handle budgeting, and coordinate with central departments while contributing to innovative biomedical research.
Created in 2005 by the Generalitat de Catalunya (Government of Catalonia) and the University of Barcelona, IRB Barcelona is a Severo Ochoa Centre of Excellence—a seal that was awarded in 2011.
The institute is devoted to conducting research of excellence in biomedicine and to transferring results to clinical practice, thus improving people’s quality of life, while simultaneously promoting the training of outstanding researchers, technology transfer, and public communication of science. Its 29 laboratories and seven core facilities address basic questions in biology and are orientated to diseases such as cancer, metastasis, Alzheimer’s, diabetes, and rare conditions.

IRB Barcelonais seeking a highly motivated and organised Lab Manager for a part-time position to support the Structural Bioinformatics and Network Biology Laboratory, led by Dr. Patrick Aloy. This role is essential to ensure the smooth functioning of the lab, by taking care of administrative and managerial tasks, coordinating purchasing and budgeting, and serving as the main liaison with central administrative departments.
You will work closely with a dynamic and international team of scientists, contributing to cutting-edge biomedical research in drug discovery.
