Job summary

Vodafone VOIS seeks a Specialist Planning Packet Core Eng Lead to support the design and delivery of Packet Switched Data Core hardware and software across Vodafone’s European networks. Based in Spain, you will work with SGSN, GGSN, MME, S/P-GW, AMF, SMF, UPF and NRF in a multi-country setup.

You will develop specifications, assist testing and release delivery, and help implement customer requirements while driving optimisation and capacity planning for Packet Core systems.

Qualifications

• University degree in Computer Science, Telecommunications or an equivalent discipline.

Responsibilities

• Implement and oversee hardware and software design guidelines for Packet Switched Data Core systems.
• Define hardware and software requirements for Packet Core platforms.
• Support the design and delivery of Packet Core solutions across Vodafone European networks.
• Develop technical specifications translating customer requirements into implementable solutions.
• Build test cases and acceptance plans for software and system capabilities.
• Support software testing, acceptance and release delivery.
• Contribute to development of new Packet Core functions and debugging.
• Harmonise information packages and MML commands across markets.
• Assist with capacity planning and dimensioning for Packet Core systems.
• Collaborate with virtual teams across multiple countries.
