Job descriptionOmniscope is a biotech startup that scans the immune system through simple, non-invasive clinical tests to broadly detect diseases at the earliest stages. Omniscope generates deep profiles of T-cell and B-cell receptor repertoires for a high-resolution profile of immune specificities and dynamics in clinical areas, such as infection, vaccination as well as cell- and immunotherapy in cancer.
- Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities
- Biobank management. Responsible for registering, labeling, storing, and tracking biological samples.
- Perform all functions methodically and in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Responsible for the setup and maintenance of the LIMS.
- Ensuring key lab supplies are available in stock.
- Coordinate the maintenance of laboratory equipment calibration and servicing, inventory of reagents, cell lines, and samples.
- Communication with lab suppliers and distributors.
- Coordinate submission of sequencing samples.
- Perform QC analysis.
- Guide staff in the use of research facilities.
- Qualifications
- Strong background in molecular biology, immunology, and genetics.
- 3-5 years experience as a lab manager in a biomedical research environment.
- Extensive experience in coordinating a Biobank / sample tracking.
- Broad experience in establishing and using LIMS.
- Experience in managing invoice payments and purchases.
- Working understanding and current knowledge of relevant aspects of the Work Health and Safety Policy and relevant legislation (including Safe Laboratory Practices for roles based in Laboratory).
- Experience in processing human cell samples.
- Knowledge and experience in sequencing technologies.
- Experience in molecular and cell biology techniques.
