Head of Engineering

Compensation and Location

Circa 140K Euros + 10K Bonus + Shares

Remote Flex with Office locations in the EU (Preferably UK, Germany, or Spain)

About Us

We are a reputable, award-winning organization within the SaaS space. You will work closely with our CTO, CPO, Head of Product, and other key stakeholders to execute our bold product roadmap. Your role includes supporting efforts to attract and retain top talent while promoting a culture of collaboration and high performance. Additionally, you will play a key role in driving innovation within our product team, leading projects in areas such as big data, remote sensing, and machine learning.

Responsibilities

1. Develop software for large-scale production systems, ideally using Python, Java, or Golang.
2. Apply microservice principles, event sourcing, cloud-native infrastructure, and clean code practices.
3. Knowledge of Kafka is a plus.
4. Set up and manage CI/CD pipelines.

Skills and Experience

1. 8+ years of experience as an engineer in a production environment.
2. 1-2+ years in a senior engineering leadership role such as Head of Engineering, Engineering Director, VP of Engineering, or similar.
3. Hands-on experience managing global teams.
4. Proven ability to develop deep-tech strategies and support product roadmaps.
5. Experience working closely with product managers, UI designers, and senior product stakeholders in product-driven companies.
6. Managing teams of 10+ and scaling teams.

Additional Qualities

• Passionate about sustainability and making a positive environmental impact.
• Fluent in English.
