Amentum is seeking an Assistant Fire Chief of Prevention for a US Navy program on Diego Garcia. The role leads the Fire Prevention section, ensures NFPA compliance, and oversees inspection, hazard assessment, and incident investigations to strengthen prevention programs.

Qualifications include three years leading a fire prevention unit, Fire Inspector III and Plans Examiner I certifications, and ability to manage a multinational team in a remote deployment.

Formación

• Three years minimum leading a Fire & Emergency Services fire prevention section.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Fire Inspector III and Plans Examiner I certifications.
• Strong communication and leadership for multinational teams.
• Ability to pass medical requirements and maintain deployment compliance.
• Passport validity and visa eligibility for deployment.

Responsabilidades

• Lead and manage the Fire Prevention section; ensure NFPA compliance.
• Develop and promote fire prevention, protection, and public safety education.
• Lead inspection programs for facilities and operations.
• Review designs to ensure fire code compliance.
• Conduct fire hazard assessments and recommend mitigations.
• Manage fire investigations and strengthen prevention programs.
• Supervise a multinational team of inspectors; train and schedule as needed.
• Ensure readiness of inspection, investigation, and prevention programs for mission needs.
• Prepare reports and maintain records of inspections and actions.
• Liaise with fire department, external agencies, and stakeholders.
