Amentum is seeking an Assistant Fire Chief of Operations to support a US Navy program on Diego Garcia. You will lead the Fire and Emergency Services, ensuring readiness, safety, and regulatory compliance, across suppression, rescue, and hazmat operations.

Responsibilities include directing teams, developing emergency action plans, maintaining training and certifications, and coordinating with stakeholders. Travel and deployment requirements apply, with strict medical and credentialing standards.

Formación

• Three years of experience leading an F&ES fire prevention section or division in a department of similar size and scope.
• Certification as Assistant Chief of Operations, Fire Inspector III, and Plans Examiner I per recognized standards.
• Complete NFPA 101 Life Safety Course within the first two years of employment.
• Demonstrated experience in operational leadership, team building, and managing emergency response activities.

Responsabilidades

• Provide leadership and management for fire department operations on Diego Garcia, promoting a safe and effective firefighting, rescue, and emergency response team.
• Lead fire prevention efforts including inspections, compliance assessments, and community outreach to ensure safety of personnel and facilities.
• Oversee development and implementation of emergency action plans for various fire prevention, suppression, and emergency response scenarios.
• Ensure the fire department meets NFPA, DoD standards.
• Directly supervise fire suppression, rescue operations, hazmat mitigation, and other emergency ops.
• Schedule and manage personnel assignments and training for certifications.
• Assist in preparing and managing budgets for operational needs.
