Job summary

Oysho is seeking an Outerwear Design Manager to lead the development of our outerwear collection with a fashion-forward perspective. You will guide the design team, balance aesthetics, functionality and performance, and translate direction into compelling products.

The role requires strong fabric knowledge, trend awareness, and excellent communication to collaborate with Product Directors, suppliers, and internal teams.

Qualifications

• At least 6 years in outerwear design, including leadership or coordination of a design team.
• Strong knowledge of fabrics, trims, garment construction, fit and technical details.
• Strong awareness of trends, brands, designers and catwalks, with a passion for fashion and attention to detail.
• Clear creative point of view and ability to translate direction into compelling products.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with adaptability to change.
• Conversational Spanish is required to present the collection to the Product Director.

• Present the collection and its vision to the Product Director.

Your main responsibilities

• Lead the design development of the outerwear collection in line with the direction set by the Product Director.
• Guide and support your design team throughout the collection development process.
• Bring a strong fashion perspective to technical outerwear, balancing aesthetics, functionality and performance.
• Apply your knowledge of fabrics, trims, details, fit and garment construction to create relevant product proposals.
• Oversee the preparation and review of technical files for suppliers, ensuring alignment with brand standards for quality, construction and fit.
• Follow the development process with internal teams and suppliers to ensure the design intent is carried through to the finished garment.
• Present the collection and its vision to the Product Director.

What we are looking for

You bring a positive, proactive mindset and thrive in a fast-paced, ever-evolving environment. You also have:

• At least 6 years’ experience in outerwear design, including experience leading or coordinating a design team.
• Strong knowledge of fabrics, trims, garment construction, fit and technical details.
• Strong awareness of trends, brands, designers and catwalks, alongside a genuine passion for fashion and attention to detail.
• A clear creative point of view and the ability to turn collection direction into compelling product.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to adapt quickly to change.
• Conversational Spanish is required to present the collection to the Product Director.
