Job summary

Abbott Nutrition is seeking an Operational Excellence Engineer in Granada to lead the site OpEx program, applying Lean Six Sigma, change management, and project tools to boost performance.

You will drive training, coach teams, manage improvement portfolios, and coordinate RCA, VSM projects, while supporting certifications and KPI oversight to foster a culture of continuous improvement across the site.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, science, operations, business, or a related discipline.
• At least 1 year of professional experience in manufacturing, operations, engineering, science or operational excellence environments.
• Knowledge of manufacturing site processes, systems, and organizational dynamics.
• Proven experience leading continuous improvement programs.
• Demonstrated expertise in Lean Six Sigma methodologies and project management.
• Experience in change management.
• Fluent English communication skills, both written and verbal.

Responsibilities

• Identify training needs and coordinate training activities; support OpEx Roadmap milestones aligned with business strategy.
• Lead OpEx tools such as Standard Work, MOS, RCA, 6S, Visual Management; coach and mentor staff.
• Drive continuous improvement programs and coordinate portfolio initiatives via OpEx RoadMaps.
• Lead cross-functional teams on RCA, strategic projects and plant shutdowns using LSS methods.
• Support LSS certification processes (Yellow Belt, RCA, VSM) within the organization.
• Lead OpEx KPIs and monitor business KPI performance.
