Formación

Join Robert Walters as an Operations Manager & System Engineer - Ericsson NFVI.

Location: Remote (based in Spain)

Company: A leading international telecommunications firm

Role Overview: Manage and optimize Ericsson NFVI solutions, supporting a network serving over 30 million customers. Play a key role in maintaining operational integrity of major telecom infrastructure across Europe.

Responsibilities:

1. Oversee system operations from integration to deployment and monitoring.
2. Identify improvement areas, collaborate with teams and partners for enhancements.
3. Respond to incidents swiftly to ensure customer satisfaction.
4. Manage change processes during off-peak hours.
5. Develop documentation and share best practices to foster knowledge sharing.

Qualifications:

• Hands-on experience with large-scale NFVI deployments, especially Ericsson platforms.
• Proficiency in Linux systems (Ubuntu/Suse), datacenter hardware, SDN concepts, and virtual network functions.
• Strong troubleshooting skills in IP networking (IPv4/IPv6), Layer 2 switching, and familiarity with Arista or Juniper devices.
• Experience with monitoring tools like Prometheus, Grafana, Kibana, and network analysis tools such as Wireshark, Netscout, Anritsu.
• Knowledge of ETSI-MANO, OpenStack, Kubernetes, and workflow/ticketing systems like HP Service Manager or CASM.

Ideal Candidate: Experienced in telecom operations, capable of working independently and within agile teams, with excellent documentation skills.
