As Operations Manager, you will be responsible for running the full operational side of Polo Valley — ensuring all departments function at a high level, internal processes are followed, and client experiences are consistently excellent.
This is a leadership role for someone who is proactive, detail-oriented, and thrives in fast-paced, high-standard environments. You’ll work closely with the CEO to implement systems, manage staff, and raise the bar across every area of the business — from hospitality to horse care, events to HR.
Key Responsibilities
Operational Leadership
- Oversee the smooth day-to-day running of all departments (hospitality, stables, grounds, events, etc.)
- Ensure clear coordination between teams and consistent communication across departments
- Anticipate issues and prevent last-minute crises through planning and discipline
- Lead weekly operations meetings and ensure task follow-through
Process & Systems Implementation
- Create and implement SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures) across all areas
- Train team members on protocols and ensure full understanding and compliance
- Identify inefficiencies and introduce practical, scalable solutions
HR Management
- Oversee team structure, scheduling, and staffing needs
- Manage recruitment, onboarding, reviews, staff development, and (when needed) dismissals in coordination with HR Assistant.
- Handle conflict resolution, disciplinary procedures, and uphold internal policy standards
- Foster a strong, values-driven culture of respect, performance, and accountability
Client Experience & Service Delivery
- Ensure all client-facing elements meet the high standards expected of the Polo Valley brand
- Work closely with front-of-house and hospitality teams to maintain consistency across all guest touchpoints
- Support with the execution of polo tournaments, VIP visits, and lifestyle events
Reporting & Accountability
- Provide weekly operational reports and updates to the Managing Director
- Track team performance and task execution across departments
- Manage inventory, costs, and operational budgets in coordination with Admin
Ideal Candidate Profile
- 3–7 years of experience in hospitality operations, property / lifestyle management, or high-end resort / club environments
- Strong leadership and people management skills; confident handling HR responsibilities
- Excellent organisational skills and a highly structured, systems-driven approach
- Comfortable balancing strategic oversight with hands-on problem solving
- Clear communicator with fluency in English & Spanish
- Calm under pressure, solutions-focused, and committed to high standards
