Carousel Logistics is seeking an Operations Coordinator to join our Barcelona team. You will manage daily logistics operations, coordinate shipments from booking to delivery, and support customers and suppliers while keeping data accurate.

Ideally you bring logistics exposure, strong Excel skills, and fluency in Spanish and English. You will help control invoicing, costs and KPI reporting in a fast-paced international environment.

Formación

We are looking for a motivated and hands-on Operations Coordinator (m/f/d) to join our team in Barcelona.

This is a varied role with a strong focus on daily logistics operations, combined with customer and supplier coordination, data management and financial administration. You will be part of the team making sure that shipments are handled correctly, customers receive the service they expect and our operational processes run efficiently.

What You'll Be Doing

Every day is different. You'll be involved in the day-to-day coordination of shipments, supporting customers and logistics partners and making sure that everything stays on track.

At the same time, you will help us maintain the accuracy of our operational and financial data – from checking supplier costs to managing the customer invoicing.

You'll work closely with colleagues across Operations, Customer Service and Finance and gain a broad understanding of how an international logistics business works.

Your Key Responsibilities

Daily Operations

• Support and coordinate day-to-day logistics operations
• Coordinate shipments from booking through to delivery
• Monitor shipment status and proactively follow up on delays or operational issues
• Act as a point of contact for customers and suppliers regarding day-to-day operational queries
• Coordinate with transport providers, warehouses and other logistics partners
• Verify shipment data, cargo acceptance and warehouse-related processes
• Process returns and import shipments
• Ensure that operational information and documentation are complete and accurate
• Support the team in maintaining efficient and reliable operational processes

Process & Administration

• Maintain and improve operational processes and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
• Ensure data quality and consistency across operational systems
• Support compliance and documentation requirements
• Identify operational issues and contribute ideas for smarter and more efficient processes

Financial & Data Support

• Managing the customer invoicing process
• Review and verify invoices and costs from transport and logistics partners
• Monitor operational costs and revenues
• Identify discrepancies and coordinate their resolution
• Maintain an overview of relevant expenditures
• Prepare regular operational and financial KPIs and reports

What We're Looking For

You don't need to be a logistics expert from day one. We are looking for the right mindset as much as experience.

Ideally, You Bring

• First experience in logistics, transport or supply chain – through previous employment, an internship, apprenticeship or similar experience
• A genuine interest in how logistics operations work
• Good organisational skills and an eye for detail
• A structured and independent way of working
• The ability to stay calm and solution-oriented when things get busy
• Confidence in communicating with customers, suppliers and colleagues
• A basic understanding of invoicing, costs and invoice checking
• Good Excel skills and confidence working with data
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 in general
• Experience with transport management systems is a plus
• Fluent Spanish and English – mandatory
• German language skills are a plus, but not required
