An international company operating within the commodities, logistics, and supply chain sector is seeking an Execution Specialist to join its Trade Operations team in Barcelona.
This position plays a critical role in coordinating shipments, managing trade documentation, and ensuring the smooth execution of contracts and vessel operations while collaborating with internal and external stakeholders across international markets.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate the execution of contracts and assigned vessel operations from contract confirmation through to final invoicing and documentation.
- Serve as a key point of contact for traders, brokers, port agents, inspection companies, customers, and internal stakeholders.
- Monitor and proactively manage shipment activities to ensure timely execution and resolution of operational issues.
- Prepare and issue shipping documentation, including Bills of Lading, Certificates of Origin, sanitary certificates, and other trade-related documents.
- Ensure timely distribution and delivery of documentation in line with operational and financial deadlines.
- Maintain accurate operational records, reports, and performance indicators.
- Support a strong culture of safety, compliance, and continuous improvement.
What We’re Looking For
- Degree in Business Administration, International Business, Logistics, Supply Chain, or a related discipline.
- Approximately 4 years of experience in import/export operations, trade operations, logistics, or a similar environment.
- Experience with bulk shipments is highly desirable.
- Fluent in both English and Spanish (written and spoken).
- Additional language skills such as French, German, or Portuguese are advantageous.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office and ERP systems such as SAP.
- Familiarity with international trade contracts (GAFTA, FOSFA, Incoterms, ANEC) is preferred.
- Understanding of international payment methods including Letters of Credit, CAD, and Documentary Collections is an asset.
