PJI strengthens local justice processes for victims and survivors of grave crimes such as crimes against humanity, war crimes, and genocide.

  • We intervene strategically in litigation and international procedures to advance victims' rights.
What do we need?

PJI seeks an experienced Operations and Finance Manager with superb operational, administrative, and financial skills, excellent project and time management, strong attention to detail, and great interpersonal skills. This part-time role supports PJI’s international programming and fiscal management, reporting to the Co-Executive Director.

Your Responsibilities

The Operations and Finance Manager will oversee finances, operations, HR, and related tasks, collaborating with the team and under the guidance of the Co-Directors.

Operations Management
  • Recommend, set up, and maintain technology, policies, procedures, including for virtual work across time zones.
  • Ensure secure and optimal software use, coordinate with security consultants.
  • Identify IT improvements and train staff.
  • Oversee procurement in line with US federal and other grant regulations.
  • Assist with scheduling, note-taking, travel arrangements, and organizing retreats/events.
Financial Management
  • Ensure accurate, timely financial transactions with proper documentation.
  • Oversee bookkeeping, credit card management, and bank reconciliations.
  • Manage accounts receivable, deferred revenue, and donor cost allocations.
  • Prepare financial reports, budgets, and support audits.
Human Resources
  • Manage recruitment, onboarding, and staff development.
  • Handle personnel changes, benefits, and staff evaluations.
Other Duties
  • Assist in identifying new funders.
  • Perform other operational, fiscal, or HR duties as needed.
Your Qualifications
  • Minimum 10 years relevant experience, with 5 in management.
  • B.A. or B.S. degree, or equivalent experience.
  • Familiarity with US accounting standards (GAAP, FASB).
  • Proficiency in Word, Excel, QuickBooks.
  • Ability to work independently, multi-task, and prioritize.
  • Positive attitude, adaptability, and commitment to human rights.
Contract Terms

Approximately 12 months, with potential extension or conversion. Pay range: $40–75 USD/hour.
