This position entails executing operations within the Spanish Electricity Market while maximizing portfolio value through strategic bidding and analysis. Candidates must possess relevant engineering degrees, programming skills, and fluency in both Spanish and English. Collaboration with internal teams and external clients is key to ensuring operational success and compliance with market regulations.

Formación

• 1-3 years of professional experience, preferably in the Spanish Electricity Market.
• Fluent in Spanish and English; French is a plus.
• Knowledge of OMIE & REE markets.

The activities are organized in continuous 24 / 7 shifts in charge of Short Term Power Trading & dispatching.

Difficulties :

Operational risk, high concentration required on the job, and constant update of the regulations.

Relations :

• Internal : Origination department & TotalEnergies Gas & Power Trading in Spain and internal customers.
• External : OMIE, REE & Customers

The mission of Short Term Power operations is to maximize the revenues and value of the power portfolio and intraday and ancillary services trading activities within controlled risk parameters in the Iberian market.

Responsibilities include executing operations in the Spanish Electricity Market (OMIE and REE), providing real-time assistance to renewable producers, customers, and represented clients, and managing the Generation Control Center activities such as:

• Market operations: day ahead, intraday, ancillary services; executing strategies, submitting bids, managing bilateral contracts, analyzing market info, optimizing energy, and monitoring real-time asset production.
• Control center operations: energy balancing, regulation zone management, and real-time support to producers and customers.
• Development of new operational and bidding strategies, market research, data analytics, and proposing system improvements.
• Participation in commissioning and development of operational procedures.
• Staying updated on legal, market rules, and regulations.

Minimum Requirements :

• Degree in industrial engineering, energy, or industrial processes.
• 1-3 years of professional experience, preferably in the Spanish Electricity Market.
• Programming skills: Python, R, or VBA.
• Fluent in Spanish and English; French is a plus.
• Knowledge of OMIE & REE markets.
• Strong analytical, synthesis, and process-oriented skills.
• Problem-solving, teamwork, stress resistance, and proactive attitude.
• Excellent communication skills in oral and written form.
• Willingness to work in a rotating system.
