Job summary

Siemens Energy S.A. in Spain seeks an on-site civil works representative to ensure that all civil activities follow drawings, meet quality standards, and adhere to safety guidelines.

You will work closely with subcontractors to resolve challenges and drive project success at the site. You will report to the Site Manager and Construction Manager, bringing a Civil Engineering background, EPC/HVDC experience, and strong Spanish language communication with partial English proficiency.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• Proven site-based civil works experience in EPC or HVDC projects.
• Completed basic health and safety training in construction.
• Strong knowledge of civil construction standards; mechanical/electrical/welding knowledge a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead civil works on-site as primary liaison between project teams, clients and contractors.
• Inspect sites to ensure progress aligns with design specs, contract terms, and ISO/HSE standards.
• Monitor schedules and identify potential delays while ensuring compliance with customer specs.
• Identify risks and opportunities and manage quality-related claims.
• Assist in preparing site documentation and method statements with QA/QC for turnover.

You will report directly to the Site Manager and Construction Manager, playing a crucial role in maintaining compliance with health and safety requirements while driving project success. How You’ll Make an Impact

• Lead civil works on-site, acting as the primary liaison between project teams, clients, and contractors.
• Inspect construction sites to ensure progress aligns with design specifications, contract terms, and HSE safety standards.
• Monitor project schedules, proactively identifying potential delays and ensuring compliance with ISO standards and customer specifications.
• Identify risks and opportunities, managing claims and escalating quality risks that could affect project outcomes.
• Support the preparation of site documentation and method statements, collaborating with the QA/QC department for civil turnover documentation.

What You Bring

• Degree in Civil Engineering or a related field, or possess equivalent experience.
• Proven experience in site-based civil works roles, ideally within EPC or HVDC projects.
• Completed basic health and safety training in the construction industry.
• Strong knowledge of civil construction standards, with additional knowledge in mechanical, electrical, and welding procedures being a plus.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder engagement skills, with a high level of spoken and written Spanish and a medium level of spoken and written English.
