Job Overview

ONE EUROPE is seeking an Enterprise Architect Lead to be based in Spain, Portugal, UK, or Poland. This role is integral to creating a better banking experience aligned with Santander's vision, fostering deep connections with customers and staff while generating value for shareholders and society.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Lead the European Design Authority (EDA) to ensure architecture compliance with global standards, facilitating the acceleration of IT transformation aligned with the Group's strategy.
  2. Ensure architectural deliverables across European projects meet high standards, coordinating with European Technical Teams and local IT leaders.
  3. Support local Design Authorities in adopting IT strategies that align with global reference architectures.
  4. Define architecture requirements for shared services and external providers.
  5. Identify opportunities to improve models and processes, enhancing service quality, agility, and efficiency.
  6. Stay abreast of market technology trends and industry best practices, fostering relationships with key industry players and vendors.
Experience & Skills
  • Over 8 years of experience in large-scale technology environments, preferably within banking or financial services.
  • Strong understanding of disruptive technologies and their business impacts.
  • Proven ability to manage large change programs and influence diverse teams.
  • Deep knowledge of business, client, and data orientation.
  • Strategic thinker with excellent communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to work effectively across cultures and geographies, demonstrating adaptability and inclusion.
Additional Information
  • Willingness to travel frequently.
  • Proficiency in English; Spanish is valuable.
