Sharp Brains Solutions in Algeciras, Spain, is looking for a Network Engineer (L1/L2) for an on-site role. This freelance B2B contract position requires hands-on experience with LAN/WAN, routers, switches and firewalls, plus VPN, DNS and DHCP knowledge. You will provide Level 1/2 support, monitor networks, and ensure SLA-driven incident resolution.

The ideal candidate has 1–3 years in network support/engineering, Cisco/Juniper experience, and CCNA or equivalent certification is a plus.

Formación

• 1–3 years of experience in Network Support/Engineering.
• Solid understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and VLANs.
• Hands-on with routers, switches, and firewalls (Cisco/Juniper).
• Knowledge of network security basics and VPNs.
• Familiar with monitoring tools and ticketing systems.
• CCNA or equivalent certification is a plus.

Responsabilidades

• Provide Level 1/Level 2 support for network infrastructure and connectivity issues
• Monitor and maintain LAN/WAN network performance
• Configure and troubleshoot routers, switches, and firewalls
• Diagnose network issues related to IP, DNS, DHCP, and VPN
• Assist in network installations, upgrades, and patching activities
• Ensure network security and follow best practices
• Support end-users with connectivity and access-related issues
• Log, track, and resolve incidents through the ticketing system
• Escalate complex network issues to senior engineers/vendors
• Ensure timely resolution as per SLA requirements
